Graduate Students

April 10, 2026 at 5:00pm Deadline to apply to graduate in Axess for Spring Quarter.
May 31, 2026 EE Walkthrough Petition. This petition is for students graduating after June 2026 (in Summer 2026 or later), who want to participate in this year's graduation celebration.
Walkthrough minimum requirements
  • PhD students must have completed their oral defense by May 31, 2026 and have department approval;
  • MS students must have completed at least 36 units and have department approval.
  • Submit EE Walkthrough Petition by May 31, 2026. No late petitions will be accepted.

Undergraduate Students

If you expect to graduate in June 2026, please complete School of Engineering Undergraduate and Stanford Undergraduate Degree requirements. The following is a partial list of deadlines and requirements.

Additional undergrad resources
April 10, 2026 at 5:00pm Apply through Axess to graduate.
April 17, 2026 Final Study List deadline; Multiple Major, Multiple Major-Minor, AP and transfer credit forms due. Coterm approval due.
May 31, 2026 EE Walkthrough Petition. This is for students graduating after June 2026 (in Summer 2026 or later), who want to participate in this year's Commencement.
Walkthrough minimum requirements
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 160 units by the end of Spring Quarter 2026, have an updated approved Program Sheet on file and have department approval;
  • Submit EE Walkthrough Petition by May 31, 2026. No late petitions will be accepted.

The following 'quick' checklist is from "Tips on Preparing to Graduate"
 
  • General Education Requirements. Is Axess status complete?
  • AP Credit. Is it signed off on your Program Sheet?
  • SoE Program Sheet. Is it up to date?
  • Program Deviations. Are they approved by EE department or Dean's Office?
  • Transfer Credits. Are they completely processed through Registrar and SoE?
  • Coterm Students. BS and MS courses appear in the correct careers?
  • Submit Coterminal Course Transfer Form to make any transfers between careers.
  • Walking before Graduating. Have you completed 160 units or more; have you submitted the EE Walkthrough Petition?
