Admit Newsletters, How To

Admit Newsletters are sent by Student Services (Chaz B.)to incoming graduate students during the months leading up to September's Orientation.

Process

APRIL/MAY; JUNE; JULY; AUGUST

  • Chaz pings Rachelle to update (1) email and (2) online newsletter
  • Rounds of edits until approved by Chaz and student services

JUNE/JULY/AUGUST/SEPT

  • Beginning of month: Chaz sends an email to the incoming student mailing list
  • Chaz collects Correct quiz responses in order of arrival. Sends the names and email addresses of winners to Rachelle. Rachelle emails them to ask for photo for next month's issue.

 

Newsletter Content

Quiz

  • Winners are students that respond with correct answers first.
  • Winning students are featured in the following month's newsletter (optional for them).
  • The first correct responses receive prizes at orientation. note: if there are 100% correct replies, give the first responders another chance to answer.
  • Submit your answers to Chaz (include "July Contest" in the subject line). The first five submissions with correct answers will receive a prize. The winners will be announced in next month's issue. Previous winners are not eligible for prizes.
