Professor Jelena Vučković has been awarded ZEISS Research Award 2025. She is a co-recipient with Professor Yuri Kivshar from the Australian National University, awarded for his work on metamaterials and nonlinear optics.

The ZEISS Research Award contributes to enhancing awareness of optics and photonics in science and technology. The Carl Zeiss Research Award started in 1990, and was succeeded by the ZEISS Research Award in 2016. Many of the 26 award winners have gone on to receive other important distinctions, and four of them have won the Nobel Prize.

The award will be presented in July at the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
