Packard 2nd Floor (Script) Printer Install - MAC

Connecting to Packard 2nd Floor Lall Packard 215 Laserjet 4050n Printer (Script) - Mac Computer

  1. Go to System Preferences | Printers & Scanners

  2. Under the list of installed printers on the left, go to the bottom and click the +

  3. Click the IP tab above (Globe icon); enter the following info:

    • Address: ee-printing.stanford.edu:631

    • Protocol: Internet Printing Protocol - IPP

    • Queue: /printers/script

    • Name: enter a meaningful name for the printer

    • Use: Select Software …

    • In the Printer Software dialog box, choose the printer driver to which you want to connect (HP LaserJet 4050 series) - if the driver isn't present, go to https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1888?locale=en_US and install the HP drivers bundle.

    • Click OK; then click Add

  4. You should see the printer in your list of installed printers; you can click on it and then click the Open Print Queue button to print a test page.
